Andrew Forsyth was probably born in Scotland, sometime between 29th December 1922 and 28th December 1923. * The 6' 0 (12st 0lbs) forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Saturday, 28th December, 1940, having most recently been with Lanark United. Aged 17, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 28th December, 1940, in a 2-2 draw at home to Morton in the Southern League. Andrew scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 4th January, 1941, in a 4-0 win at home to Queen's Park in the Southern League. He scored the last of his 4 goals on Saturday, 18th October, 1941, in a 7-2 win at home to Third Lanark in the Southern League. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 19th September, 1942, in a 2-1 defeat away to Falkirk in the Southern League, having appeared as a Jag on 26 occasions. Andrew's club-list included Airdrieonians, Lanark United and Partick Thistle.
