Anderson Kirkwood Tennent was born on Friday, 27th August, 1886, in Moffat, Dumfriesshire. The forward first appeared as a guest for George Easton's Thistle in April, 1906. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Monday, 23rd April, 1906, in a 1-0 win away to Third Lanark in the Glasgow League. That day, Anderson became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored his second and final goal for the club on Saturday, 30th March, 1907, in a 2-0 win away to Morton in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for Thistle on Wednesday, 10th April, 1907, in a 3-0 defeat away to Rangers in the Glasgow Charity Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 4 occasions. His club-list included Partick Thistle and Queen's Park. Anderson died on Sunday, 11th April, 1971, in Greenock, Renfrewshire, aged 84. |
