Alexander Pirrie was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Wednesday, 1st May, 1946.

He made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 1st May, 1946, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Third Lanark in the Glasgow Charity Cup.

Alex scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 22nd November, 1947, in a 2-1 win away to Third Lanark in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 22nd January, 1949, in a 4-3 win away to Arbroath in the Scottish Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 23 occasions.

Alex's club-list included Partick Thistle and Ayr United.
