 Alex Mann was born on Wednesday, 30th May, 2007, in Scotland. * The defender was introduced to Mark Wilson's Thistle in November, 2025, whilst a Partick Thistle U-19s player. Aged 18, he made his debut appearance on Friday, 14th November, 2025, in a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren in a Benefit match. We look forward to seeing Alex score his first goal for Thistle. His club-list includes Cumbernauld Colts, Partick Thistle and Pollok, where he is currently on loan for the duration of 2025-26.

 Originally starting out as a midfielder, Alex came through with Cumbernauld Colts U-20s and got his first experience with their first team in the autumn of 2024, appearing once in the Scottish Cup and on 5 occasions in Lowland League action. Looking to continue his development, Alex switched to the Partick Thistle Academy set up early in 2025, where he settled in his preferred position as a right-sided centre-back. Alex played his part in a succesful run which ended with a second place finish in the league. In April 2025 he notched his first goal at Almondvale in the first post-split game, a 2-0 win. He's a real competitor, although two red cards that springtime were part of the learning curve. With Thistle's top youth team being re-invented as U-19s for 2025-26, Alex was again at the heart of things as all 7 of the opening league games were won, and he even netted himself a late September brace at Kelty Hearts, with two good headers from corners. In mid October 2025, Alex featured for the reserves in a Glasgow Cup game at Lochinch, Thistle securing a penalty shoot-out bonus-point vs. Queen's Park after a 1-1 draw. A month later, he was one of three Academy first team debutants in the Stevie Lawless testimonial at Firhill under the lights, against a strong St Mirren side. Alex came on for Luke McBeth at 1-1 with 20 minutes to play and was delighted when Scott Martin's worldie made it a winning debut; Partick Thistle 2 St Mirren 1. In mid January 2026, a loan deal with Pollok in the West of Scotland Premier Division was announced, for the remainder of season 2025-26. |
