Alex Stewart Hogg was born on Monday, 29th August, 1904, in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Tuesday, 18th August, 1931, having most recently been with Montrose.

Aged 27, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 19th September, 1931, in a 3-1 defeat away to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for Alex in his one-off appearance for Thistle.

His club-list included Glenboig Cameronians, Kilmarnock, Montrose and Partick Thistle.
