| Albert Ferguson |
 Albert John Ferguson was born on Monday, 28th November, 1898, in Govan, Glasgow. The 5'11 (11st 7 lbs) goalkeeper signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 11th May, 1922, having most recently been with Port Glasgow Athletic Juniors. Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 11th November, 1922, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Morton in the SFL First Division. Albert kept his first clean-sheet on Saturday, 23rd December, 1922, in a 3-0 win at home to Raith Rovers in the SFL First Division. He registered the last of his 6 clean-sheets on Tuesday, 21st August, 1923, in a 1-0 friendly win at home to Nithsdale Wanderers. That turned out to be his last game for the club, having appeared as a Jag on 22 occasions. His club-list included Port Glasgow Athletic Juniors, Partick Thistle and Dumbarton. Albert died on Wednesday, 8th December, 1971 , in Kilmarnock, East Ayshire, aged 73. |
