 Alan McDermott was born on Friday, 22nd January, 1982, in Dublin. The 6' 2 (12st 7lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Friday, 30th August, 2002, having most recently been with Manchester United. Aged 20, he was listed as a substitute for the first time on Saturday, 28th September, 2002, in a 2-2 draw at home to Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premier League. There were no registered first-team appearances for Alan in his time at Thistle. Alan's club-list included Manchester United, Partick Thistle, Ayr United, Arbroath, Hamilton Academical, Shelbourne, Newry City, Kildare County and Dundalk. |
