Adam Urquhart Forsyth was born on Thursday, 9th December, 1920, in Killearnan, Ross and Cromarty.

The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Wednesday, 25th December, 1946, having most recently been with Ross County.

Aged 26, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 12th April, 1947, in a 5-2 win at home to Kilmarnock in the SFL First Division.

Adam scored his only goal for Thistle on Monday, 26th March, 1951, in a 3-2 neutral-venue win against Celtic in the Glasgow Cup.

He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 25th December, 1951, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division, having clocked up 111 appearances as a Jag.

His club-list included Ross County, Partick Thistle, Third Lanark and Cowdenbeath.

Adam died on Wednesday, 4th July, 1979, in Glasgow, aged 58.
