Adam James Barton was born on Monday, 7th January, 1991, in Blackburn, Lancashire.

The 6' 3 (12st 2lbs) midfielder signed for Alan Archibald's Thistle on Wednesday, 31st August, 2016, having most recently been with Portsmouth.

Aged 25, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 24th September, 2016, in a 1-1 draw at home to Motherwell in the SPFL Premiership.

Adam scored his first goal for Thistle on Friday, 4th November, 2016, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Aberdeen in the SPFL Premiership.

He scored his second and last goal for the club on Saturday, 11th February, 2017, in a 1-0 win away to St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup.

He played his final game for Thistle on Sunday, 20th May, 2018, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Livingston in the SPFL Premiership play-off Final, having appeared as a Jag on 79 occasions.
