A. MacGregor (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward first appeared as a trialist for Thistle in May, 1895, whilst a Park Thistle player.

He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 4th May, 1895, in a 1-0 friendly defeat at home to Linthouse.

There were no known goals for MacGregor during his spell with Thistle.

He played his second (and last known) game for the club on Saturday, 11th May, 1895, in a 2-0 friendly win at home to Heart of Midlothian Reserves.

His known club-list included Park Thistle, Partick Thistle and Falkirk.

Of his debut performance the Scottish Referee wrote:

Partick tried two new men in Morrison (Gilmorehill) and McGregor (Park Thistle). Both were a decided success. Partick were very unlucky in losing after having the best of the play, Campbell, Paul & Wilkie being very prominent all throughout.
