| – A well contested game, but Thistle should've won on chances. A drilled-in ball from the left was slid home (49) but Jags responded well, coming close a couple of times before Lawless’ cross was knocked into the path of Falconer (captain for the day) who swivelled on the spot and cracked a shot into the net from six yards (62). The final whistle was blown and a bonus point shoot-out was called for, with Thistle winning 6-5 after 16 kicks thanks to counters from the (right-back) trialist, Horn, McBeth, Aobahan, Falconer and Dolan. |

Subs not noted, but Lockhart, Weir & Nosa featured in the second half. It's 1 win in 31 for the Thistle Reserves in the 2020s, a goal difference of -91. Haven't won a Glasgow Cup game since 2019! |
| – Despite the presence of a handful of first-teamers, it was one-way traffic all night in Milngavie, but it took a long shot from distance (43) to give the Rangers U-19s a half-time lead. A quick opener (47) was deflating, with goals 3, 4 and 5 raining in over the next 20 minutes. Jags failed to match Gers aggression, but a second yellow offence for dangerman Zeb Lawson at least stopped the bleeding for Thistle. |

| – It was 2-0 when McBeth, Loughrey, Logan and Diack left the pitch after 60 mins. The 19s then made errors (understandable) and were punished. Playing full time Lowland League level teams is never going to end well, unless you kept some of the big boys on! |

| – 7.45pm, New Douglas Park. Storey, Low (Watson 60), Dolan, Mann (Waddell 70), Murray, Campbell, Lockhart (O'Brien 80), Falconer, Weir (Paterson 60), Nosa (C. MacKay 70), GRAY. Unsued subs: Cameron, Gibson, Allan. After defeat to Rangers and Celtic, and a previous bonus point draw vs QP, Thistle needed at least a draw to guarantee progression to the semi finals. Matchday squad was 100% U19s with the exception of Ché Campbell. |
| – The game was evenly contested in rainswept conditions, and both sides had opportunities to score in the first half. For Clyde, Nevans’ powerful drive drew a smart stop from Thistle ‘keeper Connor Storey, whilst the visitors saw Mathew Falconer power a low shot just wide of Brian Kinnear’s post. Into the second period and Clyde took the lead around 55 minutes after Storey was adjudged to have brought down a Clyde player inside the box. Coach Craig Reid rung the changes leaning into his subs bench and this saw Thistle come into the match more with a higher press starting to disrupt Clyde's back line. The young Jags drew level on 80 minutes after Dolan drove forward directly, freed Paterson on the left to deliver a good cross, and Daniel Gray finished well from 12 yards out. 1-1 at full time meant a penalty shoot out for a bonus point, and Thistle won 5-4 with all five takers dispatching their kicks well (O'Brien, Murray, Dolan, Mackay & Falconer). |
