PTFC. 7.30pm, Auchenhowie. Stone, Owens, Hendrie, Bell, McKenna, Lyon (J), Hastie, Niang, MacIver, Gordon, Lyons (B). (Ocholi, Stanway, Laird, Stevenson.)
Goals in 6, 27 and 41 minutes had Thistle beat early in this encounter behind close doors at the Rangers training centre. Future-Jag Juan Alegría grabbed the 2nd and 3rd, the latter being scored despite Stone saving the initial penalty. Thistle improved in the second half, but it was too big a mountain to climb.
2. Tue-18-Jan-2022 [h] L1-2 Queen's Park (City of Glasgow Cup - section game)
PTFC. 1.00pm, Petershill Park. McCready, Owens, Hendrie, Black, McKenna, Stanway, Stevenson, Lyon (J), MacIVER, Murray, Ocholi. Listed subs: Wilson, Bell, Laird, MacKenzie, Taggart.
3. Wed-09-Mar-2022 [a] L0-5 Celtic (City of Glasgow Cup - section game)
PTFC. 1.00pm, Excelsior Stadium. Line-up as yet unsourced.
While there was a slow start to the game, Celtic started to take control and, just after the half-hour mark, they delivered a double blow to Thistle with 2 goals in a minute. Further goals in 48, 78 and 90 sealed an emphatic win, 2 coming from star man Dembele, as Celtic cruised into the semi finals.
4. Tue-29-Mar-2022 [a] L1-3 Clyde (City of Glasgow Cup - section game)
PTFC. 8.15pm, Broadwood. Firth, Docherty (M), Lennon, Laird, Bell (S), Lyon, Stanway, Owens, LOVERING, Stevenson, Ocholi. Listed subs: McCready, MacKenzie, Diack, Mackle, Bell (C), Black. Lovering played as a trialist.
