Dunbar gave Thistle the lead when he turned a shot home (11). MacBeth was unlucky not to double the lead soon after. Tully hit the bar after half-time. It looked like a narrow win until a cross was turned in (85).
8. Sun-16-Aug-2009 [h] L1-5 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 25/8/2009. FRASER. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up also included Tully, Scully, Baxter, Dunbar, Stevenson. (Shepherd, Hodge.)
Trailing 1-0 after 33 mins, Fraser equalised with a "shot-cum-cross" (36). Cowdenbeath dominated the 2nd half and when leading 4-0 first Dunbar (suspected broken toe) and Stevenson (ankle) hobbled off. It was no surprise the 9 men conceded a 5th goal late on.
9. Sun-23-Aug-2009 [a] L2-3 Ross County (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 29/8/2009. Shepherd, Baxter, Pearce, Lochhead, McDermott, Campbell, Hodge, BANNIGAN, Sweeney, MacBETH, Tully. (Scully, Fraser.)
MacBeth powered home (11) but a dipping shot from 18 yards went over Shepherd (20). Bannigan volleyed home for 2-1 on the hour but 10 mins later it was even again. A tap-in gave them the lead then Scully saved a penalty with a one-handed save.

MP 19/9/2009. Hinchcliffe, Corrigan, Boyle, Little, KINNIBURGH, Trialist, MacBETH, Hodge, Hamilton, Doolan, Tully. (Lochhead, Bannigan, Sweeney.)
Lots of chances were missed until Kinniburgh went up with the keeper and the ball dropped in (42). Macbeth slid in to finish a Corrigan pass (45). When Hinchcliffe handled a pass-back the free-kick reduced the lead (71) and a header at the far post following a corner earned a draw (82).
13. Sun-20-Sep-2009 [h] W1-0 Stenhousemuir (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 3/10/2009. Scully, Hodge, Dunbar, Trialist, McDermott, Bannigan, Trialist, MacBeth, Fraser, Lochhead, SWEENEY.

MP 3/10/2009. Hinchcliffe, Lochhead, Boyle, McDermott, Kinniburgh, Little, Dunbar, MacBeth, Sweeney, Corcoran, Bannigan. (Trialist, Fraser)
Less than enthralling was the verdict. MacBeth went close twice, his first shot smothered and his second turned round the post for a corner. Queen's missed a sitter from 8 yards. The 2nd half was largely forgettable Both teams went close once.
15. Sun-27-Sep-2009 [a] W2-0 Stirling Albion (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 3/10/2009. FRASER, BANNIGAN. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up included sub Baxter for McGeough.
Thistle took the lead from a throw-in when Fraser swivelled and shot home (16) then Fraser laid one on for Bannigan to double the lead (22). In the 2nd half Lochhead cleared an effort off the line and Shepherd had a string of fine saves.
16. Tue-06-Oct-2009 [a] L1-5 Annan Athletic (Scottish Reserve League Cup section game)
MP 17/10/2009. Hinchcliffe. Lochhead, McGeough, Little, McDermott, Bannigan, ERSKINE, MacBeth, Doolan, Hamilton, Corcoran. (Sweeney, Burns, Trialist.)
A deflected shot by Erskine put Thistle 1-up (7). It was a case of poor defending after that. The equaliser came (29) then a blunder by Hinchcliffe (34) and a 20-yard drive soon after half-time made it 3-1. Hinchcliffe was beaten at his near post (87) and the defence was sliced open (89) for 5-1.
17. Tue-13-Oct-2009 [h] W2-0 Stranraer (Scottish Reserve League Cup section game)
MP 17/10/2009. Hinchcliffe, McGeough, Corrigan, Kinniburgh, Little, MacBETH, Doolan, McKeown, Trialist, Hamilton, Erskine. (Tully, Burns, Bannigan.) Played at Firhill.
There were near things for Thistle in the first half, the best being a Doolan effort cleared off the line. The 2nd half saw chance after chance spurned until MacBeth scored with a cool finish from a Doolan pass (72). Trialist scored from 20 yards (86) to seal the deserved win.
18. Sun-18-Oct-2009 [a] L1-3 Greenock Morton (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 31/10/2009. BURNS. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Returning from injury, Burns scored Thistle's consolation. Perhaps inexperience left them exposed at the back as they drove forward looking for goals.
19. Tue-27-Oct-2009 [h] L0-3 East Stirlingshire (Scottish Reserve League Cup section game)
MP 31/10/ & 28/11/2009. Shepherd, McGeough, Corrigan, Kinniburgh, Little, MacBeth, Campbell, McKeown, Doolan, Hamilton, Erskine. (Tully, Burns.) Played at Stirling University.
The teams traded chances then Thistle went behind at a corner (49). 3 minutes later it was 2-0, Thistle failing to play the off-side trap. A third goal rubbed it in but the scoreline flattered 'Shire. MacBeth in particular was unlucky several times.
20. Sun-15-Nov-2009 [a] D0-0 Raith Rovers (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 28/11/2009. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up included Burns, Stevenson.
Defences were decidedly on top although Thistle might have nicked a goal late on. The Rovers centre-half being sent off (2nd yellow).
21. Tue-24-Nov-2009 [h] D1-1 Queen's Park (Scottish Reserve League Cup section game)
MP 28/11/2009. Hinchcliffe, McGeough, Boyle, Corrigan, Kinniburgh, Hodge, Campbell, MacBeth, Doolan, Hamilton, Trialist. (FRASER, Tully, Bannigan.)
On chances Thistle should have been well ahead by half-time - Hamilton, Campbell and Doolan all going close. A cool finish in a more even second half put Queens ahead (71) but a penalty by Fraser when he had been pulled down earned a point late on.
22. Sun-29-Nov-2009 [a] W3-0 Montrose (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 5/12/2009. Shepherd, McGEOUGH, Baxter, McDermott, Stevenson, CAMPBELL, Bannigan, MacBeth, Fraser, Lochhead, BURNS. (Trialist, Tully, Sweeney.)
Campbell gave Thistle the lead from just outside the box then Burns made it 2-0 (35). The second half saw chance after chance as Thistle dominated and it took until 85 mins before McGeough bust into the box and volleyed home.
23. Sun-06-Dec-2009 [h] W4-0 Dundee (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 4/1/2010. FRASER (2) SMART, BURNS. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Smart then Burns put Thistle 2-up before a Fraser double before half-time put Thistle well in command. A very convincing performance.
24. Tue-08-Dec-2009 [a] W5-0 Stenhousemuir (Scottish Reserve League Cup section game)
MP 26/12/2009. Hinchcliffe, Paton, Boyle, HODGE, Kinniburgh, Corrigan, McGeough, McKeown, DOOLAN (2), Hamilton, ERSKINE. (CAMPBELL, MacBeth, Burns.)
An emphatic win. It was one-way traffic although Stenhousemuir hit the post early on. Hodge opened the scoring (38). Burns set up Doolan (67), then he turned in the box and shot home (75). Erskine shot across the keeper (85) and Campbell headed in a MacBeth cross (88).
25. Sun-13-Dec-2009 [h] L3-4 Alloa Athletic (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 26/12/2009. BANNIGAN, BURNS, McGEOUGH. Line-up as yet unsourced. Home fixture played away. Thistle entered the winter break mid table with 5 wins & 1 draw from 11 matches, F26,A19.
It was 2-2 at half-time, Thistle having come back twice through Bannigan then Burns. As the fog got thicker both teams went all out but it was Alloa who scored twice then McGeough scored from what seemed like a goalmouth scramble.
26. Wed-20-Jan-2010 [h] D0-0 Goldenhill BC (Friendly)
MP 23/1/2010. Shepherd, Baxter, McGeough, Stevenson, McDermott, Campbell, Lochhead, Bannigan, Fraser, Burns, MacBeth. Played at Firhill Complex.
A good workout coming out of hibernation. Stevenson and McGeough were standouts in defence, dealing with everything thrown at them, even showing up well supporting the attack.
27. Sun-24-Jan-2010 [h] W5-0 Annan Athletic (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 13/2/2010. BURNS (3), LOCHHEAD, SWEENEY. Line-up as yet unsourced. Played at Petershill FC.

MP 13/2/2010. Tuffey, Paton, CONROY, Corrigan, Boyle, Hodge, Doolan, MacBeth, BUCHANAN, Lovell, ERSKINE. (Campbell, McGeough, Burns.)
Burns' Night in Ayrshire! Buchanan went close early on but it was Ayr who scored against the run of play however (33). Erskine hit the bar (43) but he finished off a Buchanan cut-back from 16 yards (47) then Buchanan put Thistle 2-1 up (52). A 15-yarder by Conroy (89) sealed the win.
29. Sun-31-Jan-2010 [a] W5-1 Ayr United (Scottish Reserve League U-19)
MP 13/2/2010. BURNS (3 - 1pen), MacBETH, FRASER. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Stevenson set up Burns with a through ball. His second was a left-foot strike in the top corner and he rounded off his hat-trick with a penalty. MacBeth and Fraser got in on the act for a fine win.
