– MP 7/8/2001. Gow, McKinstry, Brand, Smith, Easton, Nicol, Bennett, Lambie, Perriss, Lyle, Hampson. (Cannon, McBride, Hepburn.) |
– Meadow were far more experienced that the Thistle side that included several under-16 and 18 players. |

– MP 8/9/2001. Klein, Brand, Easton, Huxford, Smith, Bennett, Lambie, Howie, McDowell, Walker, MacDonald. (Croall.) |
– 454 saw Thistle begin the league programme with a defeat courtesy of the only goal (55). Several chances were wasted by Thistle - particularly by Walker. Sub Croall had some long-range efforts but it was a narrow defeat. Possibly a draw would have been fairer. |

– Walker slotted coolly past the keeper (6) and it was 1-0 at half-time. Arthur was taken off with double vision to be replaced by Agnew. Queens levelled soon after the restart then Agnew twisted his ankle and was stretchered off to be replaced by Lambie. The winner came 10 minutes later. |

– MP 3/11/2001. Trialist, Lambie, WATSON, Brand, Connaghan, Gibson, Mooney, Trialist, McDowell, HARDIE, WALKER (2). (Bennett, Easton, MacDonald.) |
– Thistle led 3-0 at half-time thanks to goals by Hardie (5) and a double by Walker. By 67 minutes it was 3-2 but a low drive by Watson restored the 2-goal lead. Goals 86 and 90 put paid to the prospect of a first league win and Thistle had to settle for a point. |

– MP 10/11/2001. Gow, Opinel, Brand, Huxford, Easton, Watson, Howie, Javary, Elliot, Harvie, Gibson. (Croall.) |
– It was goalless at half time. Two goals by future-JAG Grady (46 and 67) put Ayr on their way and two more towards the end made for an easy win, leaving Thistle still looking for a win. Both Ayr scorers had played for Ayr's 1st XI the previous week. |

– MP 1/12/2001. Gow, Lambie, Brand, Huxford, Easton, McBride, Gibson, Howie, McLEAN, Kelly, ELLIOT. (MacDonald, Barclay, Milligan.) |

9. Mon-17-Dec-2001 [a] L0-6 Ayr United (Scottish Reserve League) |
– MP 26/12/2001. Connick, McKinstry, Milligan, Easton, Connaghan, Howie, Gibson, McClory, Pew, McLean, Bennett. (Barclay, Croall, MacDonald.) |

– MP 26/1/2002. Gow, Brand, Laird, Dolan, Easton, Howie, Lambie, McKinstry, Gibson, Lyle, Milligan. (Barclay, Croall.) |
– Still no win but a better performance. A header 5 minutes before half-time proved to be the winner. There were chances to score but they were wasted, none more so than a penalty missed by Gibson. Kyle was red-carded and Thistle ran out options to find an equaliser. |

– MP 23/2/2002. Gow, McKinstry, RODDIE, Dolan, Trialist, Easton, Trialist, Howie, BROWN, Brand, Trialist. (Kelly, Croall, Milligan.) |

– MP 16/3/2002. Gow, McAnespie, Roddie, Easton, Connaghan, Archibald, Gibson, Dolan, Cameron, McCulloch, Walker. (Budinauckas, Trialist, Trialist.) |
– The winning streak didn't last long. Accies went ahead (2) and Thistle replied with some close things and a good save denied McCulloch. A header doubled the lead (18). There were chances made after half-time but Thistle failed to turn any of them into goals. |
13. Tue-02-Apr-2002 [h] W3-0 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Reserve League Cup Quarter Final) |

– The last league game of the season ended in a narrow win with the goal coming from Brand (32). |
15. Wed-17-Apr-2002 [a] L1-4 Ayr United (Scottish Reserve League Cup Semi Final) |
– MP 20/4/2002. Arthur, McAnespie, McKinstry, Dolan, Easton, Connaghan, Kerr, BRAND, McLean, Walker, Croall. (Barclay, Towill, Gibson.) |
– A solitary goal by Britton was all Thistle could muster against Ayr who won comfortably on the night (and were eventual league champions). McCallum broke his nose and both McAnespie and Croall failed to see the game out. |
