| 1. Sat-31-Jul-1999 [a] W5-3 Armadale Thistle (Friendly) |
| – MP 7/8/1999. Budinauckas, Bonar, Tycznski, Edwards, McCann, Trialist, FRAME, Smith, McVeigh, LYLE (3), RODDEN. |
| – The young Thistle side faced a much stronger and older opposition but they were nippier and more skilful. Lyle's hat-trick was a particular feature. |
| 2. Mon-09-Aug-1999 [a] D2-2 Shettleston Juniors (Friendly) |
| – MP 21/8/1999. RODDEN, DALLAS. Line-up as yet unsourced. |
| – The proverbial "game of two halves". Shettleston deserved their 2-goal lead at half-time. Thistle only needed 10 minutes to draw level through Rodden and Dallas (pouncing on a defensive mistake). A number of great chances were spurned after that so it ended 2-2. |

| – MP 21/8/1999. NEWALL, McGUINNESS, DALLAS, McALLISTER. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up also included Sinclair (sub GK at half-time). |
| – Thistle trailed 1-0 from a penalty - Bud initially saving but could not stop the rebound. A fierce drive by Newall levelled things by half-time. A header by McGuinness made it 2-1 and McAllister and Dallas finished the scoring. |
| 4. Sun-15-Aug-1999 [h] W2-1 Montclair State University U-21 (Friendly) |
| – MP 21/8/1999. LYLE (2). Line-up as yet unsourced. |
| – The university team from New York State were physically stronger but the young Thistle side won through thanks to two goals from Lyle. |
| 5. Sat-21-Aug-1999 [a] W4-0 Armadale Thistle (Friendly) |
| – MP 28/8/1999. RODDEN (2), McCANN, McALLISTER. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up also included Bonar, Reid, Newall. |
| – It was a comfortable win and clean sheet for a mixture of fringe and youth players. |
| 6. Tue-14-Sep-1999 [a] W4-2 Cowdenbeath (Scottish Reserve League Cup 1st Round) |
| – MP 25/9/1999. DALLAS (2), ENGLISH (2). Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up included Jacobs. |
| – With players short of game time, it was a sluggish start but once they got going the result was never in doubt. Dallas headed in an English cross, English made it 2-0 and Dallas prodded home before Cowdenbeath scored either side of half-time but English scored for a 4-2 finish. |
| 7. Tue-02-Nov-1999 [h] W4-0 Arbroath (Scottish Reserve League Cup 2nd Round) |
| – MP 14/11/1999. LYLE, RODDEN, ENGLISH (2). Line-up as yet unsourced. |
| – Thistle advanced to the next round with an excellent 4-0 win despite their opponents fielding a few 1st XI regulars. Two goals by English and a cracker by Lyle made it 3-0 at half-time. Rodden scored late on. |
