SFL First Division Table

As per 1986-87, Tiers 1 & 2 once again went 12-12 as opposed to the previous 10-14. As a result, nobody came down from last season's Premier Division. Promoted Stirling Albion (champions) and Montrose (runners-up) were the new participants. 2 up / 2 down is reinstated between the Top Leagues for the first time since 1984-85. 2 points for a win. Those finishing level on points were placed in order of superior goal difference, then by goals scored.
