  • The Combined Reserve League was actually two mini league series either side of Christmas/New Year. According to SFHA/WIK Thistle were champions for both series, and this seems certain with the results. However the SFHA results grid has errors and omissions, and there is no table for the first series. Also, the table for the 2nd series does not square with results. No team seems to have fulfilled its fixtures. In the first series, Thistle did not play Clydebank (A) or Dumbarton (A), so played 16 out of possible 18. W13, D2, L1, F64, A17 28 pts. Alloa withdrew from second series March 1971. In that second series, Thistle did not play Clydebank (H), Stirling Albion (H), Dumbarton (H) or East Stirlingshire (A). Played 12, W11, D0, L1, F61, A15, 22 pts.
