| – Dundee scarcely deserved the point. Thistle were by far the better team as Dundee sat in defending in depth, showing little appetite for coming out to play. A rare attack resulted in a headed goal but Hogan equalised (44). The Dundee keeper had an excellent 2nd half. |

| – Rovers were good value for their 1-goal lead then Davidson converted a penalty for handball. Despite Thistle fielding several 1st XI players Rovers had that bit more to offer and deservedly took the lead (also from the spot) when Crawford pulled down Rovers' No 9 late on. |
