A hat-trick by Motherwell's No 9 was the highlight but it could have been worse - they missed two penalties (one saved). There were some decent performances from Thistle but they were second best. Husband was lamed after 15 mins and was unable to kick the ball.
1944-45 Reserves summary notes

P26 W16 D0 L10 (1.846 ppg)

Historical PT Reserves average: 1.462 ppg (@ 22-Aug-2023)
  • The points-per-game measurements (ppg) above are calculated on the same principle as the first-team's all games category, and are based on 1 point for a draw and 3 points for a win across all eras.
  • Final League Position: cannot be verified. Completed fixtures ranged from 21 to 24 (Thistle 24). Bizarrely, some clubs played 4 extra fixtures (2H & 2A). Statistical quirk: in 24 games, Thistle did not draw any of them.
