ET 13/8/1932. Wilson, Brown, Cummings, Boardman, McAllister, Murray, Dickson, Wilson, EWING (2), Donnelly, Clark.
Ewing scored from a cross from Clark (2) and he scored again on the counter. Hearts' pressure paid off however and by half-time it was 2-2. A second half penalty proved to be the winner.
2. Sat-20-Aug-1932 [h] L1-4 Rangers (Scottish Alliance)
ET 20/8/1932. Wilson, Shannon, Cummings, "Newman", McAllister, Boardman, Ness, Grove, BLACK, Donnelly, Clark.
Neither team converted their chances until Rangers went ahead (20). Ness grazed the bar just on half-time. Thistle had the early 2nd half pressure but Rangers added a second. Black lobbed the keeper for 2-1 but Rangers ran out comfortable winners.
3. Tue-23-Aug-1932 [h] L1-3 Celtic (Scottish Alliance)
DR 24/8/1932. "NEWMAN". Line-up as yet unsourced.
Celtic were the better team throughout. Thistle fielded several trialists and one of them, "Newman", equalised before half-time but 2 more goals after the break underlined Celtic's superiority. Celtic's trialist No 4 had his ankle broken in a tackle (85).
4. Fri-26-Aug-1932 [a] L1-2 Hamilton Academical (Scottish Alliance)
GH 27/8/1932. ANDERSON. Line-up as yet unsourced.
All the scoring was done in the first half of this Friday evening game, played in front of 1,500 at Douglas Park. Thistle's team included Grove and Ness, the latter of whom had quite a serviceable game.

MT 4/11/1932. Wilson, Ewing, Docherty, Miller, Donnelly, Wyllie, Dickson, Campbell, WATSON, Murray, Clark.
Both teams had chances then Wilson ran out to make a clearance and left his empty goal gaping for 1-0. More chances came and went then a second goal (65) doubled the lead. Watson scored but so did Motherwell for a 3-1 win.
13. Sat-05-Nov-1932 [a] W3-2 Airdrieonians (Scottish Alliance)
CE 9/11/1932. Wilson, Ewing, Docherty, Jordan, DONNELLY (R), WYLLIE, Dickson, Donnelly (S), Watson, Murray, CLARK.
Thistle (bottom) went 2-down to Airdrie (second bottom) in 10 mins. Poor defending let Clark in to score (15). A "beautiful equalising goal" by Wyllie and a 20-yard shot by Donnelly (R) completed the fightback (87). The ref blew for time with Airdrie awarded a free-kick. They took too long to take it!
14. Sat-12-Nov-1932 [a] W4-3 Motherwell (Scottish Alliance)
MT 18/11/1932. Wilson, Ewing, Docherty, Wyllie, DONNELLY (R), Miller, JORDAN (3), Simpson, Watson, Donnelly (S), Clark.
Thistle fell behind (20) but Jordan scored when the ball came back off the bar at a scrimmage (30). He scored again after half-time but a header made it 2-2. Wyllie got his hat-trick but Motherwell levelled for 3-3. A pen by Donnelly (R) proved decisive.

APJ 21/11/1932. Wilson, Ewing, Docherty, Wyllie, Donnelly (R), Miller, Jordan, Jones, SMITH (2), Donnelly (F), DICKSON.
Thistle were lucky league leaders Aberdeen took too long to adapt to the surface. A whirlwind start saw a goal apiece after 3 minutes (Smith for Thistle) then Dickson put them ahead just on half-time (looking off-side.) Smith got his second in a goalmouth scramble (55).

KH 19/1/1933. Wilson, Ewing, Docherty, Wyllie, Montgomery, "Junior", Jordan, "Newman", Watson, ANDERSON, Clark.
There was a catalogue of chances missed by Killie before they took the lead (38) but Anderson equalised (42). The second half was a 5-0 whitewash - not helped by the loss of Ewing to injury mid-way through the half.
23. Sat-21-Jan-1933 [h] L3-4 Heart of Midlothian (Scottish Alliance)
ET 21/1/1933. Wilson (G), Ewing, Docherty, Wyllie, Simpson, Urquhart, Jordan, Donnelly, WATSON (3), Murray, Clark.
Poor defending let Hearts in for the opener but Watson headed in from a corner. He scored again for 2-1 but Hearts scored twice to take a 3-2 lead into the second half. Watson completed his hat-trick but Hearts' 4th won the points.

DR 22/4/1933. Duncan, Sutherland, Cameron, Wyllie, McDonald, ?, Jordan, Ewing, ANDERSON, Donnelly, Clark.
Apart from the goals, a drab end of season affair with umpteen chances wasted at both ends. Anderson gave Thistle the lead (12), Ewing hit the post then Thirds equalised. It could have gone either way until the winner came in the last 20 minutes.
