DR 29/8/1929. Kenny, Sutherland, Rae, Richmond, "Black", Miller, Turner, "Smith", WILSON" (2), "WALKER", Boardman.
Thistle, with several members of the pseudonym clan, didn't seem to take the match too seriously. The Juniors took the lead (12) then "Walker" equalised after a Turner shot was fumbled. Two goals by "Wilson" and one for the Select finished the scoring.

SC 23/9/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. Line-up included Williamson, Calderwood, Millar and Wilkie.
The goalless first half was rather slow but after half-time things livened up. A penalty gave Hearts the lead then "a spirited run" through the Thistle defence led to a second goal.

APJ 30/9/1929. Kenny, Paton, Calderwood, Miller, Ross, McLeod, Wilkie, McGovern, REID, Beath, Young.
Thistle broke league leaders Aberdeen's 100% record. The match was a lively affair with chances for both teams, near misses and good goalkeeping. The all-important goal came from Reid when he headed in a McLeod free-kick.
10. Sat-05-Oct-1929 [a] L2-3 Kilmarnock (Scottish Alliance)
SC 7/10/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 7/10/1929 REID (2).

12. Sat-19-Oct-1929 [a] W2-1 Aberdeen (Scottish Alliance)
APJ. 21/10/1929. Kenny, Sutherland, Ray, Richmond, Ross, Miller, Ness, McGorm, REID, BEATH, Hunter.
5,000 saw a shock win for Thistle. Beath scored (5) and Aberdeen piled on the pressure. "Feeling" crept into the game and Hunter and McGorm had to go off for treatment. Kenny parried a shot and it was tucked away but Reid got the winner (70).
13. Sat-26-Oct-1929 [h] W5-4 Hamilton Academical (Scottish Alliance)
SC 28/10/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 28/10/1929 BEATH (2), TURNER, WILKIE (2).

SC 11/11/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 11/11/1929 TURNER.
15. Sat-16-Nov-1929 [h] L2-3 Queen's Park (Scottish Alliance)
SC 18/11/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 18/11/1929 HUNTER, McGORM.
16. Sat-23-Nov-1929 [a] W5-1 Motherwell (Scottish Alliance)
MT 29/11/1929. Kenny, McDonald, Calderwood, Richmond, Ross, Boardman, TURNER, McGORM, REID (3), Beath, Hunter.
Turner cut in and drove home the opener then Reid ran in 40 yards to grab the second and got the third from close in. Motherwell fought back but it was 3-0 at half-time. Reid and McGorm had scored before Motherwell's late consolation.
17. Sat-30-Nov-1929 [a] W6-4 St Johnstone (Scottish Alliance)
PRA 4/12/1929. Kenny, Sutherland, Calderwood, Richmond, Ross, Boardman, TURNER, McGorm, REID (3), Beath, HUNTER (2).
The meagre crowd saw plenty of goals. 0-1 (1 min), Reid equalised. 1-2, Turner scored. Reid put Thistle ahead, Saints fired a penalty wide and Reid made it 4-2. Saints scored. 4-3 at half-time. Hunter made it 5-3, 5-4 then he lobbed the keeper, 6-4.
18. Sat-07-Dec-1929 [h] W5-0 St Johnstone (Scottish Alliance)
PRA 11/12/1929. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 11/12/1929 HUNTER (2), REID (2), TURNER.

FH 21/12/1929. Wilson, Sutherland, Calderwood, Richmond, Ross, Grove, Turner, McGorm, McKAY (5), BEATH, Hunter. We note that AN appoints one goal to 'Hunter' at the expense of 'McKay'.
The main feature of the match was a 5-goal haul for McKay before half-time. Thistle led 5-1 at half-time. Beath increased the lead (51) then he hit the bar. A couple of late goals put a better complexion on the match from Falkirk's point of view.

27. Sat-01-Mar-1930 [a] D3-3 Airdrieonians (Scottish 2nd XI Cup 2nd Round replay)
CE 5/3/1930. Kenny, Sutherland, Calderwood, Boardman, Ross, Hunter, Gordon. POPE, DODDS, Kelly, Beath. (1 og.)
Dodds gave Thistle the lead (1) then a Hunter shot was deflected past the Airdrie keeper for an og. Pope headed in for a commanding lead. Thistle were hemmed in after half-time and a daisy-cutter, a turn and shot and a last-minute smash earned a second replay.
28. Sat-08-Mar-1930 [h] W3-2 Airdrieonians (Scottish 2nd XI Cup 2st Round 2nd replay)
GH 10/3/1930. AET. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 10/3/1930 REID (2), HUNTER.
29. Sat-15-Mar-1930 [a] L2-3 Aberdeen (Scottish 2nd XI Cup Quarter Final)
APJ 17/3/1930. Kenny, Sutherland, Calderwood, McGorm, Ross, Hunter, Turner, Kelly, JENKINS, McGILLIVRAY, Beath.
After a bright start by Thistle it was all Aberdeen and Kenny was a busy keeper. Thistle were seldom seen in attack. They fell behind (55) but Jenkins scored in a breakaway. Two quick goals followed before McGillivray scored very near the final whistle.
30. Sat-22-Mar-1930 [a] L2-3 Beith (Scottish Alliance)
SC 24/3/1930. Line-up as yet unsourced. AN 24/3/1930 JENKINS, WILKIE.
31. Sat-05-Apr-1930 [h] L3-4 Junior Select XI (Friendly)
DC 7/4/1930. Line-up and scorers as yet unsourced.
32. Wed-09-Apr-1930 [a] L2-4 Queen's Park (Scottish Alliance)
GH 10/4/1930. Kenny, Hamilton, Ure, Duncan, Ross, McGowan, Turner, KELLY, Jenkins, FRASER, Lindsay.
A goal for the Strollers (1) suggested a lively contest but the rest of the half was a quiet affair with few attacks. Poor defending let in Queens again before a fine drive by Kelly reduced the lead. Fraser equalised soon after but a couple of quick goals made it 4-2.
33. Sat-12-Apr-1930 [a] L2-5 Ayr United (Scottish Alliance)
SC 14/4/1930. Line-up and scorers as yet unsourced.
34. Sat-19-Apr-1930 [a] L1-2 Falkirk (Scottish Alliance)
FH 23/4/1930. Kenny, Sutherland, Hunter, McGorm, Ross, Beath, TURNER, Kelly, Jenkins, Fraser, Campbell.
Falkirk showed better cohesion in the stiff breeze. Thistle made chances but they went abegging. Down 2-0 at half-time, Thistle looked dangerous for a spell but soon fell away again. It was only a defensive lapse that let in Turner late on for "a grand drive".
35. Mon-21-Apr-1930 [h] L0-4 Airdrieonians (Scottish Alliance)
CE 23/4/1930. Line-up as yet unsourced.
A goal in the first minute put Airdrie on their way. They missed a penalty a minute later but although Thistle had a brief spell it was of "a feeble nature". Two more goals before half-time and a fourth after underlined how much better they were on the night.
36. Thu-24-Apr-1930 [a] L3-4 Alva Albion Rangers (Friendly)
DR 25/4/1930. A friendly arranged as part of the deal for the recently transferred Charlie Fitzsimmons. Line-up unsourced. FRASER, HUNTER, MILLER.
37. Tue-29-Apr-1930 [a] L2-4 Hibernian (Scottish Alliance)
EEN 30/4/1930. Wilson, Hunter, Sutherland, Smith, Ross, Miller, Wilkie, McGorm, BLACK (2) Fraser, Brown.
Both centre-forwards scored twice in this open and entertaining match. The second half belonged to Hibs but Wilson stood up to the pressure until the Hibs No 9 completed his hat-trick. A fourth goal followed soon after. A decent performance but Hibs had the pull.
