– The first half was featureless until a rocket shot put Dundee ahead (40) then Smith equalised (42). Dundee dominated for long spells after half-time. They hit the woodwork 3 times as Thistle defended desperately, living dangerously, then McDougall scored on a breakaway. |

– Falkirk A" supreme". The home team had little difficulty in sweeping Thistle aside - and that was after going behind in 5 minutes (scorer not identified). They led 2-1 at h-t and the 2nd half was a formality. |

– CL 3/10/1925. Harrison, Murphy, Donald, Rutherford, Chatton, Richardson, Crabbe, Lindsay, GIBSON, Bennie, Torbet. |
– Airdrie took an early lead, a slanting shot deceiving Harrison, but slack defending let in Gibson to equalise. It was soon 3-1 however. Thistle had a good spell after h-t then Airdrie hit the post with a pen and later scored with a long effort off the bar. |

– St Johnstone's No 9 (Munro) scored all 4 goals to edge out Thistle. They fell behind but Reid equalised then a header at a corner put Saints ahead again. Torbet scored just on h-t .Reid scored in the 2nd half but Munro got numbers 3 and 4. |

– The points never looked like going south as Aberdeen dominated the play for a convincing win. The only highlight for Thistle was the play of Torbet who scored. He also saw his penalty saved. |

– Airdrie settled the quicker and a deflected shot beat Harrison. Poor defending led to 3-0 at h-t. Goals came easily then Reid scored to make it 5-1. The Airdrie No 9 scored two more (making 5) and Reid scored again. Outplayed. |

– Neither players or spectators took this Tuesday night friendly too seriously. The first half was uneventful. Cliftonville had a good spell after h-t and opened the scoring. The game livened up and Reid (H) got the equaliser. Thistle finished on top but it ended 1-1. |

– Smaller and lighter, Thistle never looked serious challengers. A 25-yarder beat Ramsay to put Saints ahead at h-t. Thistle were swamped in the second half in which the Saints No 9 took his total to 5. |

– A lovely solo run and shot from 15 yards beat Ramsay to open the scoring (25). Thistle tried hard to get level but there were few scoring opportunities. A second goal on the hour from close in and a goal from a scrimmage 2 minutes later sealed a comfortable win. |
