| – FH 20/8/1924. Bennie, Mathieson, McCracken, Johnstone, Miller, Lindsay, MUIR, McLachlan, HAIR, WILSON, Smith. |
| – Muir gave Thistle an early lead then Wilson made it 2-0. Falkirk fought back, reduced the lead and almost levelled on h-t. Hair scored (46) no Falkirk player having touched the ball since the restart. Bennie had some fine saves but was beaten twice in an entertaining draw. |

| – Aberdeen lost a player to injury before h-t. The ref awarded a goal when Dinnie let the ball slip out of his grasp but he changed his mind. Cue spectator on the pitch and police called. Torbet rounded two defenders to score then Simpson made it 2-0 before Dinnie blundered for 2-1. |

| – Salisbury went close then Watson scored (20). It was 1-1 soon after then a penalty made it 2-1. A run from half way and a shot close in hit Thistle with two more on h-t. A fine goal by Watson made it 4-2 but a 5th was well deserved on play. |

| – Thistle had early spells of pressure but they went two down before Hair reduced the lead. Three more goals in the second half underlined Airdrie's superiority. They seldom allowed Thistle a look in. |

| – Thistle took some time to adapt to the sodden pitch and gave Queens 2 goals of a start within 5 minutes but McDougal and Rankin (2) turned things round by half-time. The second half was one sided. Rankin completed his hat-trick, Torbet scored then an og made it 6. |

| – Kilmarnock took a 2-goal lead then their keeper saved a Thistle penalty. The score rather flattered the home team however. Three goals in the last 15 minutes turned the match around, the second deceiving the keeper, the third from a free-kick. |
