| – League leaders Airdrie just edged out Thistle who led 1-0 at half-time through Carlow's header. They were second best after half-time however and Airdrie went 3-1 up before McFarlane pulled one back near the end. |

| – APJ 15/10/1923. Ferguson, O'Hare, Allison, MATHIESON (2), Donald, Chapman, Blair, GROVE, Carlow, McDONALD, Calder. |
| – Aberdeen took the lead when Ferguson failed to hold a shot but Mathieson scored after a spell of pressure. He scored again after half-time along with Grove and McDonald. Thistle had the best of the second half. Blair's second half pen was well saved. |

| – Four goals inside 20 minutes (surprisingly against a strong wind) put Killie 3-1 up then a fourth on half-time put them in a strong position. Thistle made no use of the wind after half-time and conceded again before their second. |

| – If anything Thistle had the best of the first half in terms of teamwork but their finishing was weak and they trailed 1-0 at half-time. Aberdeen moved up a gear after half-time and when Ramsay blundered twice there was no way back. The 4th came from close in. |
