Morton took the initiative from the start and were 2-up at half-time. Thistle started strongly after the break but enjoyed no luck in attack. Two more goals finished them off but, again, they did react positively without scoring.

SR 20/8/1894. GOODWIN, CURRIE (2), McPHERSON. Line-up as yet unsourced.

KRH 5/9/1894. McPHERSON. Line-ups and remaining scorers as yet unsourced.
Thistle pressed from the start and scored 10 mins from half-time. A second soon followed. McPherson made it three before another goal was scored.
5. Sat-08-Sep-1894 [a] W6-1 Clyde (Scottish 2nd XI Cup 1st Round)
SR 7/9/1894. (Predicted) Alexander, Prentice, Smith, Bird, Cameron, Thomas, McDONALD (2), PROUDFOOT, Murray, HERBERTSON, SHAW. (CURRIE given as scorer but not in predicted line-up.) Confirmed line-up as yet unsourced.
A strong first half saw Currie and McDonald put Thistle 2-up but Clyde scored on the stroke of half-time. Goals by Herbertson, Proudfoot, McDonald and Shaw emphasised the gulf between the teams.
Sat-22-Sep-1894 [h] V2-3 Hamilton Academical (Scottish 2nd XI Cup 2nd Round - voided game)
HH 28/9/1894. Young, Prentice, Smith, Bird, Cameron, Thomas, McDONALD, Proudfoot, Currie, HERBERTSON, Shaw. Successful protest over ineligible player upheld.
It was an exciting tie and Hamilton took the lead but Herbertson levelled before half-time. Thistle looked the better team but again they fell behind. McDonald equalised and chances were missed and the winner came at the wrong end.
6. Sat-13-Oct-1894 [h] L2-3 Hamilton Academical (Scottish 2nd XI Cup 2nd Round)
HH 19/10/1894. Young, Prentice, Reid, Bird, Cameron, Smith, Wyndham, McDonald, Currie, HERBERTSON, SHAW. Played at Linthouse FC.
Thistle took the lead twice through Herbertson and Shaw but twice Hamilton levelled before half-time. The second half favoured Thistle on pressure but a late winner came against the run of play.
7. Sat-24-Nov-1894 [h] W3-1 Morton (Friendly)
GT 26/11/1894. McDONALD, HERBERTSON (2). Line-up as yet unsourced.
Thistle had most of the pressure and were 1-up at half-time through McDonald. Morton had a better send half and reduced the lead but two goals from Herbertson made for a comfortable enough win.
8. Sat-08-Dec-1894 [h] W3-2 Cambuslang (Glasgow 2nd XI Cup Quarter Final)
SR 10/12/1894. PROUDFOOT, SHAW (2). Line-up as yet unsourced.
As the score suggests, a tight game. Cambuslang took the lead but Proudfoot soon equalised. Thistle fell behind but Shaw levelled things by half-time. He scored the winner (65) and Thistle's strong defence protected the lead until the end.
9. Sat-30-Mar-1895 [a] D1-1 Rangers (Glasgow 2nd XI Cup Semi Final)
SR 1/4/1885. SHAW. Line-up as yet unsourced.
Thistle were on the back foot early on but soon took the game to Rangers. They took a deserved lead through Shaw but a penalty was converted soon after for 1-1 at half-time. Report of second half not found.
10. Wed-17-Apr-1895 [n] L2-3 Rangers (Glasgow 2nd XI Cup Semi Final replay)
SR 19/4/1895. Martin, Morrison, Smith, Prentice, Cameron, Thomas, McDonald, PROUDFOOT, Currie, Shaw, HERBERTSON. [Played at Linthouse FC.]
Thistle had the best of things and Herbertson gave them an early lead then missed a sitter. A defensive mistake led to an equaliser and it was 3-1 at half-time. Currie hit the bar before Proudfoot pulled one back but it was too late.
