Played at Moore Park Govan and after a very one-sided game, the Thistle left the field victors by fourteen goals to one.

On a pitch resembling a skating rink the first half was goalless. The locals stirred Thistle into action by taking the lead but they fought back and went ahead, only for Campsie to earn a replay.

On the County Cricket Ground at Easter Williamfield (which was treacherous) Thistle's scratch XI fell far below the performance expected of them by the locals. They were “a scratchy and quarrelsome lot” for contesting the ref's decisions.
